Based on the systems affected by this code, we will most likely start with:
Fluid Pressure Switch A – Circuit High. The transmission control module (TCM) has detected abnormally high voltage in the hydraulic fluid pressure switch circuit of the automatic transmission.
OBD-II (EN): Fluid Pressure Switch A - High Circuit
Code P2965 signals abnormal voltage in the hydraulic fluid pressure switch circuit of the automatic transmission. The most common causes are a faulty solenoid, wiring problems, or contaminated ATF fluid. Due to the risk of the transmission entering limp mode, prompt diagnosis at a workshop with a specialized scanner is recommended.
Check Engine Light on the dashboard. Hard or delayed gear shifts, possible transmission locking in one gear (limp mode). Jerking while driving or during gear changes. Noticeable transmission slippage. Worsened acceleration dynamics. Possible increase in fuel consumption.
• Faulty or shorted hydraulic fluid pressure switch (pressure solenoid A) • Open circuit or short to power in the wiring harness supplying the switch • Oxidized, loose, or damaged electrical connector on the switch or TCM • Contaminated, degraded, or low ATF fluid level in the transmission • Internal damage to the valve body causing incorrect pressure readings • Less often: faulty TCM module

The code alone is not enough. To find the cause, you need to read live data, check freeze frame conditions, and compare with vehicle behavior. Book a diagnostic session.
