Code U0425 means the vehicle's central computer has received invalid or out-of-range data from the Electric Power Steering (EPS) module. This can be caused by damage to the CAN harness, electrical connector, or the EPS controller itself. Due to the impact on driving safety and ADAS systems, immediate diagnosis at a service center with a professional scanner is recommended.

Symptoms

EPS warning light illuminated, heavier or stiff steering wheel, automatic deactivation of lane keeping and parking assist systems, warning messages 'Service Power Steering' or 'EPS Fault' on the dashboard, possible torque limitation, additional DTCs in other modules indicating missing or erroneous data from EPS.
